From our 2006 Visitor's Book....

"....what a fantastic place and time.
We doubt we will ever find and experience
a holiday of this quality again"

Cordes celebrates it colourful
medieval past each year

South West France is famous
for Gaillac, the local appellation,
a friendly medium red. From
La Gaudane you can visit
friendly vineyards to taste & buy.

The world famous Jardin
des Paradis is just next door
to La Gaudane

The cobbled narrow streets
of Medieval Cordes.
Cordes is a most lively centre of the arts touched off just after the Second World War by Yves Brayer. An artistic milieu grew around him with his museum, (three other museums) and a full annual programme of the arts and music. There are over 50 registered ateliers; painters, sculptors, leatherworkers, potters, glass blowers, jewellery designers and more - including, of course, our unique 1880's embroidery atelier.
Bring your pencils and paints and join in with or without tuition and just watch and stroll.
